The loan movement from Mike Penders to Chelsea's Sister Club Strasbourg makes the goalkeeper situation even clearer.
With Marcus Bettinelli and Djordje Petrovic who left the club, the keeper-line-up of Enzo Maresca looks like Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen and the young American Gabriel Slonina for the following season in that order.
Unless…
Rumors that Chelsea has another attempt when signing AC Milan's Mike Maignan have not disappeared.
Statistics gurus say that the French international would be the perfect fit for the blues.
He is excellent with his feet and top class in most other aspects of keepers.
Meanwhile, large clubs around the world are aware that Gianluigi Donnarumma has not signed a new contract in Paris Saint-Germain and the European champions are ready to bring in Lucas Chevalier from Lille.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Galatasaray can also be interested in a new 'keeper, so that some observers have merged two and two.
But in the case of the blues, the answer is probably five.
Apart from the Biggish Transfer compensation that PSG would like, the wages of £ 300,000 a week a week of Donnarumma simply would not fit in the blueprint of the Chelsea owners.
Deals to bring in defender Jorrel Hato and attacking midfielder Xavi Simons will continue sooner or later.
But the big question is whether Maresca and the Blues are willing to ask their confidence in Sanchez for a different season.
Or do they go back in and hard, for Maignan? The friendly August 10 against AC gives the people who matter to talk to another chat about him.
Blue horizons
Chelsea's fire sales continue to collect pace, but some movements will be more complicated than others.
Joao Felix makes a quick output to Saudi Arabia while Djorde Petrovic has joined Bournemouth.
Other deals are more challenging.
Carney Chukwuemeka, the midfielder, drew two years ago from Aston Villa in a £ 20 million deal, spent on loan last season with Borussia Dortmund.
And he has set up his heart to go back to become a member of the German side.
Chelsea has held up to £ 40 million for the 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from RB Leipzig.
Chukwuemeka is clear that he only wants to go back to Dortmund, but they only consider a loan at this stage – something that is not so attractive for Chelsea.
This has resulted in a bit of an impasse in conversations, something that looks like it can take a while to pass by.
Someone will have to admit.
Blue it
There was excitement among Chelsea fans – and supporters from other clubs were furious – when reports were made of the owners of the club who invested another £ 339 million.
But what sounded like a substantial transfer Warchest was in fact still a bit of sensible accountancy.
To begin with, the actual figure Stamford Bridge Chiefs was put in the club through the share problem of 30 June just over £ 339,000.
In the terms of Layman, millions of new shares in Chelsea FC Holdings were founded and purchased by Blueco 22 Midco, one of the companies with which the owners control the club.
Why? Nowadays you don't get much in football nowadays.
But the date of the transaction is considerable – the last day of the financial year of the blues.
Premier League profit and sustainability rules enable clubs to lose an average of £ 35 million per season or a maximum of £ 105 million on each report of three seasons.
But that limit is only £ 5 million per season (a total of £ 15 million) unless owners put new money every year in the form of equity (no loans) in the club.
Chelsea bosses did the same on 29 June 2024, just before the end of that financial reporting period.
This year's share problem was therefore not to finance the large spending of the summer.
It was normal to give Chelsea the largest amount of leeway that is possible for PSR purposes, which they probably need because of the edition in transfers.
Blue skies
Chelsea stars have flooded social media with photos of their glamorous vacations.
Player of the Moises Caicedo season won another prize in his native Ecuador.
The parliament of the country presented Caicedo with the Vicente Rocafuerte medal, the highest civil honor for sporting excellence, as recognition for his role in Chelsea's Club World Cup victory.
But the most heart -warming snaps came from club captain Reece James.
Earlier in the weekend, James placed images from him and over in Basel.
And on Sunday, the man who stopped the CWC trophy as Sister Lauren, one of the six members of the Chelsea Women's team in England's English team, celebrated a European champion.
Ticket misery
Some Chelsea fans have been left furiously due to the new ticket system of the club, with many unable to get close when attending the first game of the season versus Crystal Palace.
The new system, in collaboration with Ticketmaster, has been controversial since the introduction, but has now left fans who wish they could get a refund for the £ 60 “premium” membership that they bought before the season started.
True Blue member Aadam told the Chelsea files: “The new Chelsea ticket system is a joke.
“I had 136 points last season, went to many competitions, including the final in Poland, but did not even get a chance of a palace card.
“At least with the old system there was a chance, and now even my partner with a season card cannot help with the new system.
“Total mess and I wish I could get a refund for my £ 60 membership!”
But other supporters said they liked the new system, that all members are trying to buy tickets in a queue and gives them a number in that queue that gives a good indication of their chances of getting something.
The process is in favor of the more casual fan who cannot afford to attend every home game, but wants to buy a few tickets per season.
But the 10S queue of the thousands trying to buy a ticket for the palace game underlines the wider problem: Chelsea needs a larger stadium and the sooner the better.
Badge shortage
On Monday some fans came up in the Stamford Bridge store in the hope of buying the World Cup winners of the club for their shirts.
But the item was sold out.
Hopefully the blues have had enough to ensure that the first team of the men can at least wear them with pride.
The under-21 side that put on the new kit for the friendly in Bromley did not have the patch on their shirts.
It is unclear whether the senior team of Enzo Maresca will have the pay for the friendly matches against Bayer Levekusen and AC Milan, or wait for the first Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
