Many people claim that the legendary former world champion of UFC Lightweight World Champion hardly lost a round during his career, which ended in 2020 after three straight stops on Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.
However, the Hype train of Khabib Nurmagomedov was almost derailed from UFC 148 in July 2012.
'The Eagle' came in when the underdog against Gleison Tibau, who succeeded in stopping all 13 of the Takedown attempts by the Russian wrestler, landing one of his own and to surpass him to apparently make a decision – but that is not what happened.

Khabib Nurmagomedov bounced back from UFC 'loss' with Ko
Bizarre enough, all three judges scored the fight 30-27 in favor of Nurmagomedov, who cried when the controversial decision was announced.
UFC legend Joe Rogan was stunned by the score cards and said 'wow' after they were confirmed.
Nurmagomedov was 18-0, but looked like a man with a point to prove in his next outing.
The 36-year-old Vecht legend was against Thiago Tavares in UFC Sao Paulo in January 2013.
After a provisional opening -minute, Nurmagomedov jumped in with a devastating punch to drop Tavares.
The favorite in the birth city crashed on the floor before he finished a series of annoying ground attacks.
Nurmagomedov dropped elbows with the head of Tavares who bounced on the floor after he was made unconscious in a statement of the lightweight prospect, which is perhaps the best 155 pound hunter of all time.
Will Khabib Nurmagomedov ever fight again?
In October 2024, Nurmagomedov responded to rumors about his potential return to the UFC.
“There is no chance, none. Even 1%, minus minus [chance]”He said.
“If you need champions, I help my brothers to become champions … We have Islam [Makhachev] As champion we have Umar [Nurmagomedov] As the next competition we have Usman [Nurmagomedov] As a champion – we have many champions.
“You will never miss me, because in our team and our gym we make champions – you will always have champions, don't worry.”
