UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev had a message next to a photo with Saitiev that read: “A era has passed. A legend has passed. My participation in all your family and friends, we will miss you. '
Buvaisar Saitiev had a legendary wrestling career
Saitiev is generally considered by many viewers and experts as one of the greatest freestyle wrestling people in the history of sport. As a member of the Russian national team, he won gold at the 1996, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games in the weight class of 74 kg or 163LB.
