Khabib Nurmagomedov is still not fond of the idea that Ilia Topuria immediately fights against Islam Makhachev after his move up to 155 pounds.
When Ilia Topuria recently shocked his featherweight title, it seemed inevitable that he would be the next title for Islam Makhakev.
Despite the fact that, after the recent victory of Justin Gaethje over Rafael Fiziev, the team of Makhakeven Gaethje mentioned as the 'ideal opponent' for the Russian champion, with 'the highlight' that continues to insist on that fight.
And with that Topuria Makhachev accused him of diving and instead a feud started with former champion, Charles Oliveira.

Khabib blocking Makhachev vs Topuria according to Henry Cejudo
Despite the continuous conversations about a potential fight between Makhachev and 'La Layenda', according to former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo, it is Khabib Nurmagomedov who blocks the fight.
After his permanent switch to the lightweight division, Topuria claimed that the UFC promised him an immediate title fight against Makhachev, which adds further confusion to the Saga.
“I remember that I spoke with Khabib and Khabib said this:” It is not fair for Ilia to skip the line and after the title shot with Islam, because that is all that he did Volkanovski two title shots, “Cejudo began to explain during an interview with Mike Bohn.
“I don't even think it will be the choice of Islam. I think Khabib will intervene and would be:” He has to fight the number one competition. “If Ilia beats the number one competition, sure. I personally think that Islam will fight against everyone, everywhere, but I think the person who probably plays a bad agent is Khabib Nurmagomedov,” Cejudo continued.
Cejudo is close to the Makhachev camp and has previously trained with both Islam and Khabib.
Who will then fight Islam Makhachev?
Because it looks increasingly unlikely that the Spaniard will get an immediate title shot, he has been left in an unfortunate position.
Despite his constant feud with Oliveira, 'Do Bronx' has stated that he is not interested in fighting Topuria, because he also has a title shot.
However, it is unlikely that the Brazilian will get the next title shot and will probably need a fight in the meantime.
And with that Justin Gaethje is apparently in the favorite position to be the next challenger of the title, who comes after the back of another impressive victory and is the hunter who wants the champion afterwards.
