Khabib Nurmagomedov’s coach recalls him having ‘blood in his eyes’ the one time he lost his composure in the gym

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the biggest to ever do it, retired with an undefeated record of 29-0.

There have been many large UFC champions, but we may never see anyone who was as dominant as 'the eagle', who rarely lost rounds during his incredible lightweight run.

The coach of Nurmagomedov, Javier Mendez, was in the corner of various remarkable champions as a coach for the will of Islam Makhakev, Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez and Luke Rockhold.

He believes that one of the things that separates the former 155 pound champions of the others is his calmness who never saw him stray from the task that is obvious.

That said, Mendez recently told the story of the one -off time he saw Nurmagomedov lose his cool in the gym after a meeting with a training partner.

Javier Mendez could not calm Khabib Nurmagomedov after training with a kickboker

During his recent performance at Tim Welch's Red Hawk Recap -Podcast, Javier Mendez spoke about the only time he can remember that the emotions of Khabib Nurmagomedov get him better in the gym.

The AKA coach said that both Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov are somewhat similar because they never become emotional, but 'the eagle' was always mentally the strongest.

However, a training partner tested that when Mendez thought about the time that the lightweight worked champion in addition to an experienced kickboker that Daniel Cormier had brought to the gym.

It all started between them after Nurmagomedov was kicked by his training partner, with the undefeated star only one thing in the immediate aftermath.

“I think he worked in one of the rooms with Khabib and he tried to show Khabib a certain technique. The next what you know, I think he khaw in the face when Khabib was just waiting for the man to show him.

“The following you know, they come and tell me:” Jav come, please come, khabib goes like that and kill like that. “So I'm going outside and Khabib walks after this guy and says like:” Come here, come here. ”

“Khabib had blood in his eyes. It is just one of those situations in which I could not have calmed them. That is the first time I saw that side of him come.”

Khabib nurmagomedov's emotions cooked in the chaotic end of his heated collision with Conor McGregor

The calmness that Javier Mendez is talking about is something that every fighting fan will have seen in the earlier fights of Khabib Nurmagomedov.

His victory over Michael Johnson at UFC 205 is a great example of this, where Nurmagomedov quietly talked to his opponent while he continues to drag him.

Although fans did not see his heated meeting with a training partner, many people coordinated at UFC 229, where 'The Eagle' Conor McGregor encountered in the greatest fight in the UFC history.
