Khabib Nurmagomedov’s rival thinks he finally knows how to bring ‘The Eagle’ back for one last UFC fight

Even five years after his MMA pension, UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov remains the subject of comeback talk.

Nurmagomedov hung his gloves as a UFC Lightweight Champion in 2020, and ended his career with a perfect 29-0 record and generally considered the largest of the all-time division.

His last fight came to UFC 254, where Nurmagomedov Justin Gaethje submitted before he withdrew to the Octagon. Since then, 'De Adelaar' has been laid down on his decision, which was encouraged by the desire of his mother not to see him competing without his deceased father in the corner.

But although the hope for a return has largely decreased, one of the old rivals of Nurmagomedov is one of those who continue to raise the question. And he even thinks that a recent revelation with regard to a historic UFC event can offer a legitimate spark to light a comeback.

Tony Ferguson proposes long-awaited Khabib Nurmagomedov collision in the White House

During a recent interview with MMA Crazy while he was in London for the Misfits boxes 22-press conference, Tony Ferguson brought his long-standing rivalry with Nurmagomedov again.

The collision of the couple is generally considered the biggest fight that has gone away in the UFC, where their matchup fell incredibly five times due to physical and health problems on the side of both men.

The pension of the Dagestani did little to suppress Ferguson's striving for him and talking waste – neither has his recent exit of the UFC.

In his last comments on the subject of 'El Cucuy' on the Donald Trump plan for a UFC Witte Huis event, it is theoretical that such a huge opportunity could be something that Nurmagomedov is finally willing to return.

“Look, I would fight Khabib in the White House,” said Ferguson.

“I guarantee you, maybe that's something he would like to do.

“His Pops said that the only fight to make, I was,” Ferguson continued. “I'll see him sooner or later.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov still gets constant comeback offers

Although Ferguson's proposal for a showdown of the White House is undoubtedly the first of its kind for Nurmagomedov, 'El Cucuy' is far from the only man who still pushes to bring 'the Eagle' back.

During a recent appearance on the bustle of Adam Zubayraev, Nurmagomedov said that he still receives frequent return offers, especially in the Grappling -Rijk.

“They keep struggling,” said the legendary former UFC champion. “Yes, Grappling always offers.

“There was no one. They had no opponents.” They said, “If you agree, we will find an opponent for you.”

“Never thought of it (accepting a comeback offer),” he added.
