Khalil Rountree Jr. says he needed 'more support' after he lost to Alex Pereira

Ringree was short of Pereira and re -evaluated himself again as a hunter and decided what had to be changed.

“One of the most important things after the Alex had fought for me was to continue,” said Rountree on his YouTube channel.

'[I was] Think what I could have done better? Although I hit a very good camp and I did my best in that camp, I always try to think that there is always room for improvement, whatever happens. A few of the things I felt like I had the feeling that I could have improved in my strength.

“I think I could have had an extra ear in my corner to let me know times when my opponent was injured where I could have benefited.

“I just think a little more support. Immediately after the fight that immediately went what I went behind. I thought, where can I find more support and how can I get stronger?”

Rountree appealed to his strength with old coach Lorenzo Pavlica. For his extra eyes and ears in the Octagon, Rountree enlisted the help of Christian Knowles, coach of kickboxer Jonathan Haggerty.

For his struggle, Rountree works with 17-way BJJ champion Marcus Buchecha.

“While I climb the ranks and closer when the champion gets, knowing that guys come after me to get the belt. I want to be a well -rounded hunter,” Rountree continued.

“I want to be the best version of myself that I can be in all areas.

“I start to feel so much more confident on the floor and I can take everyone with me,” Rountree said about struggling with Buchecha.

“I am not finished climbing the mountain. After the Alex fight, just showed me where I am capable of.

“It showed me that I will hear at home there and I will fight hard to get it.”
