The coming Saturday, Khamzat Chimaev will fight for the first time since 2022 in the United States when he fought against Kevin Holland on UFC 279.
The Chechense records Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title in Chicago, in the UFC 319 Main Event that has been in the making for more than a year.
Although he had admitted 'Still Knocks' that he wanted to fight against Chimaev after his title defense about Israel Adesanya on UFC 305, visa issues caused a delay in the fight.

Chimaev explains why he is not interested in fighting in America
Because his fight was booked to take place in Chicago, it seemed like a big breakthrough in his career, given his inactivity in recent years.
Although he had received a visa, 'Borz' recently claimed that he will probably not fight on the upcoming map of the White House and sent a message to Donald Trump.
However, the Chechense may not be interested in fighting at the event, such as in a recent interview with Main Event TV, Chimaev explained why he is not really interested in fighting in America.
“I don't know (no matter how active I want to be), whatever they give, I am open to that. I was always – when I am healthy, I always win in fighting, so it was not my fault that I have not fought often, now we have the visa, we are here.
“After that I hope that we will also be in Abu Dhabi, defend the belt. No (I no longer want to fight in America), I want to fight in the VAE, Bro. You earn more money there, that is my country, I represent that country, the best country in the world, so I am always happy to fight there,” Chimaev continued.
What touches Chimaev is the fact that hunters are burdened much less when they fight in the United Arab Emirates than when they fight in the United States.

Although he might not make as much as he would do this weekend if the fight was in the VAE, Chimaev will probably still pick up a nice bag.
And with that he has already revealed what he will spend on his bag, and explains that he will give back the majority of it to his family because he is not interested in buying flashy things.
