Khamzat Chimaev has taken it from more than 220 pounds to get under the middleweight limit for his UFC 319 Main Event.
Unbelved title Challenger Chimaev will take on Drus Du Plessis in Chicago tomorrow night in Chicago and has looked enormously in the few meetings and face-offs of the couple. But he and the champion both came within the limit to make their title fight officially.
Chimaev has a limited experience about the five rounds and only goes out of the second in his career twice. But he is confronted with one of the most difficult tests in sport on Saturday against the uncomfortable and unorthodox South African.

On Friday morning, Khamzat Chimaev and Dricus du Plessis both went on the scales to make their weights officially for UFC 319. 'Borz' first saw upstairs while he weighed on 183 pounds, bizarre used the curtain for his ways.
He was quite a bit for Du Plessis, who should not give the scale at the time of writing. Caio Borralho weighed at 184LB as a backup.

Chimaev's good friend and training partner Movsar Evloev was involved in the training camp for this fight and revealed that his teammate was huge before he started his cut. The unbeaten top featherweight told Mike Perry on his overdoogpodcast that he would probably be larger than Du Plessis before the fight.
“When he fought Whittaker, he just took him off and broke him,” said Evloev about the size and power of Chimaev. “Nobody had done this against Whittaker, and Khamzat still has a great power of punching, he can turn off your lights with one punch.
“I think he is even bigger than Du Plessis, of course he is Bro, he is big and strong like hell. I don't know how many in pounds, but he was more than 100 kg (220 lb).”
