Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has made a decision on his future at Napoli amid interest from several top European clubs.
The 23-year-old has been an integral part of Napoli's success in recent years and played a key role as the club secured their first league title in more than three decades in the 2022-2023 season.
In the years since, he has remained a key player at the Stadio Armando Maradona, scoring five goals and three assists this season.
Negotiations over a new contract for the Georgian international were ongoing, but Napoli boss Antonio Conte has now revealed that Kvaratskhelia plans to leave the club this month.
“Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave the club,” Conte said. “I spoke to Khvicha and he confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately.
'There was a contract that had to be extended. Apparently I didn't do enough to convince both parties to move forward together.
“I'll take a step back because I can't keep a player chained who doesn't want to stay.”
The news comes after Mail Sport revealed Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring the 23-year-old.
Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the winger who played a key role in Georgia's participation in the last 16 at the 2024 European Championship last summer.
However, the frontrunners to secure Kvaratskhelia currently appear to be French giants PSG.
A report from Fabrizio Romano earlier this week revealed that Luis Enrique is on an immediate contract following a move for the winger.
A deal, reportedly worth £71 million, is said to be in the works, with talks on personal terms going well.
Kvaratskhelia will reportedly earn more than four times his current salary as a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes nears completion.
Napoli currently sit at the top of Serie A, two points ahead of their nearest challengers Atalanta.
