Chelsea star Cole Palmer let fans amazed when he was seen from Stamford Bridge after Saturday's game with Everton.
The supporters of the blues could not believe the sight of Palmer, 22 – with a black hoodie with one phone on his ear and another in his hand – away from the stadium for the crowd.
A clip with the bizarre incident made the round on social media and fans tried to understand what was going on.
And it turns out that the English international was in a hurry to meet a fixer to collect a pair of Prada shoes at a gas station.
A tick account of the delivery person posted a video from Palmer that received the expensive shoes.
In a video they explained the long journey to make the delivery: “I received a message late last night when I was in the middle.
“Touchdown in London this morning, everything had to be sorted out at the last minute.
“A little bit of the game caught on TV. Listen, if you know how we do things here, we always deliver. Check the pair and make sure everything is good.
“He definitely touched fans who control the game. Here he signs his top top for me, always super easy to deal with – and yes guys, as always, sorted!”
The news of what Palmer was doing has led to a mixed reaction of the believers of Chelsea.
A fan tweeted: “Quite strange that Cole thinks on a huge matchday of shoes and not 3 points. Still love him like.”
Another noticed: “Wait, what?”
A third wrote: “First case where a football player was called legitimate and was in a hurry, and not just avoid the fans?”
This fan said, “What a boy.”
And he posted: “Just Palmer things.”
Chelsea managed to pick up an important 1-0 victory over Everton, but Palmer continued his rotten form and earned the worst assessment in Sunsport's players' reviews for the game.
Nicolas Jackson's strike was sufficient to earn the West Londonen the three points, but the attacker placed a particularly bad representation according to his usually elevated standards.
Another blank means that the former Manchester City Ace has not scored in its last 17 games.
