Liverpool -Manager Jürgen Klopp shared an emotional tribute after the devastating news of the death of Diogo Jota.
Earlier today, the Portugal International and his brother André lost their lives in a car accident and sent shock waves through the football world.
“This is a moment when I struggle. There must be a bigger goal, but I can't see it,” Klopp wrote. “I am deeply sad to hear about the death of Diogo and his brother André. Diogo was not only a fantastic player, but also a good friend, a loving and caring husband and father. We will miss you so much.”
Klopp expanded his participation in Jota's wife RUTE, their children and all loved ones: “All my prayers, thoughts and strength to rescue, the children, the family, the friends and everyone who loved them. Rest in peace – Love, J.”
The football community continues to mourn for the loss of Jota, whose legacy on and next to the field will never be forgotten.
