KSI offers potential real reason Tommy Fury pulled out of Darren Till fight

KSI believes it was cowardice, as opposed to concerns over fighting rules, that caused Tommy Fury to pull out of his boxing return.

The Love Island star and undefeated professional boxer has been out of the ring for over a year after undergoing surgery on his hand. He was scheduled to return on January 18 against Darren Till in his hometown as the main event of a Misfits Boxing show.

But he backed out, citing a joke at the press conference that the ex-UFC star made in what appeared to be an ironic moment that if he lost the fight, he would simply throw a head kick to save himself. Fury is said to argue that such disregard for the rules would be dangerous to his boxing fortunes.

Tommy Fury pulls out of fight against Darren Till following press conference claim

During the launch press conference for Tommy Fury and Darren Till's fight, the MMA star made a seemingly obvious joke that if the fight went against him, he would turn to his cage roots. But Fury objected and announced earlier this month that the fight had been abandoned.

In fact, Till's management eventually confirmed that he had signed to forfeit his entire wallet if he ended up breaking professional boxing rules. But that didn't stop Fury, who has now apparently called up Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul.

“I can't believe I'm writing this but I'm not fighting Darren Till right now on January 18, 2025,” he wrote on an Instagram Story.

“The one simple reason is that Darren has stated time and time again that he does not want to play by professional boxing rules and that if he loses the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics.

“I'm a professional boxer, I've been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I wasted weeks at training camp.

“We are working hard to find a new opponent and date. I promise I will get a better opponent and fight better for you. Good news around the corner.”

KSI insists Tommy Fury was scared of Darren Till

Fury infamously fought both KSI and Jake Paul last year, winning each time but failing to deliver on his promises of a brutal knockout. The American actually managed to drop him, while many fans and experts claim he should have lost to his compatriot.

And KSI, who was willing to promote his return in attempts to build up a rematch, believes he is now a worthless commodity. Today, in a YouTube video, he told his fans that the real reason he withdrew was fear after meeting his opponent at their press conference.

“Darren Till would never kick Tommy Fury,” he noted. “Tommy Fury is just fucking around and didn't want to get in the ring with Darren because I think he was intimidated by him, it's as simple as that, f*** Tommy Fury.

“He was dropped by Molly Mae [Hague, his ex-fiancee]he's a shitty father and he should go fuck himself. I mean, let's be honest: what's the point of Tommy Fury? Without Molly Mae he is nothing. He's not even that good at boxing, he had trouble with me!

Darren Till hits back at Tommy Fury after fight cancellation

Till, one of the most renowned trash talkers in recent memory, did not stay silent about the fight being canceled. He shared a number of statements and videos, and emphasized that he will still compete in a new headliner on January 18.

“It's clear to everyone that Tommy Fury was the A-side in this event,” Till told fans in one of his messages to X. “That means he got more money and he gets to take charge of me, which is correct. So.

“He's the boxer and he's the bigger name. So if this is the case, he can't fight me or anyone else. This doesn't happen; Tommy has withdrawn and I am still attending the main events on that date. Now I'm the A side and I'm in charge, while the opponent is being found at the moment.

“I have always adhered to the rules of fighting all my life. I was building up the fight with Tommy and saying things that I knew would make him fuck himself because I know deep down he's not a real fighter. And now it has come out that what I said is true, he has withdrawn and shown his true colors.

“I'll see you all on January 18 because no matter what happens, I'll be there, like I've always been, I'll always show up and it will always be that way for the fans, whether you like me or not. Someone find John Fury for me because he's not answering the phone, probably talking to young coaches again or smashing glass.
