Tottenham -Baas Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski will miss the Europa League final and is “for a few months out” and has undergone a knee operation.
Tottenham revealed on Wednesday that Kulusevski had undergone surgery in an injury to his straight patella that he sustained in Sunday's home defeat against Crystal Palace, although the club did not give a timetable on his return.
But Postecoglou said at his press conference before the game prior to the Premier League match on Friday in Aston Villa, Live on Sky Sports, that the Sweden International will miss the Europa League final next Wednesday against Manchester United in Bilbao.
He said: “Disappointing news. Initially we thought it wasn't too serious. It seemed pretty good, but it blew up a bit the next day.
“He had surgery and it will release him for a few months.
'We will see it [back for next season]. To be honest, I have basic information about recovery. It will release him for a while. “
