Kyle Walker completes loan move to Milan from Man City until end of the season

Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has sealed a move to AC Milan until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old decided to seek a new challenge last month after a difficult season with the Premier League champions.

Pep Guardiola revealed in early January that Walker was keen for a fresh start elsewhere, and sources close to the player were quick to rule out the Saudi Pro League potential.

Thanks to the interest of advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC beat the competition to land the right-back and have the opportunity to buy him permanently in the summer.

Walker wanted to stay in Europe and has ambitions of achieving a century of England caps under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

He is currently seven games behind 100 and the Three Lions have two World Cup qualifiers at home to Albania and Latvia in March.

AC will pay all of Walker's significant wages for the life of the loan. Matheus Nunes has acted as City's right back in recent weeks.

The defender has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League over the past decade, with the right-back shining for Tottenham and Manchester City.

During his time at the Etihad, Walker won 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles.

His dip in form has also come as issues in his wider private life have played out in the public domain as he struggles to save his marriage.

Walker is about to start the new chapter of his life with his wife Annie Kilner and their four children, after the couple seemingly repaired their relationship after being on the brink of divorce a year ago.

A well-placed source told MailOnline: His wife Annie will be on the plane with him along with the children. They have had a lot of publicity about the battle, but now they are trying to put it all behind them and make a new start in Italy.'

“The plan is for Annie to join Kyle in Italy. Kyle and Annie have had a terrible year.

'At the end of last year she came very close to filing for divorce. It seems she has changed her mind about the divorce for now and will go to Italy with Kyle and the kids.

“With all the problems they've had with Lauryn, who knows, maybe Milan could be a fresh start for them?”

Walker's private life was turned upside down in December 2023 when it was revealed that he had fathered a secret daughter with reality star Lauryn Goodman in 2022. The couple also welcomed a son in 2020.

Childhood sweetheart Kilner, who started dating Kyle at age 16, was pregnant with their fourth child at the time.

She had planned to divorce him, but the couple put on a united front at the family home this Christmas with their four children: Roman, 13, Riaan, eight, six-year-old Reign and baby Rezon.

Kilner moved the footballer back to the marital home amid 'second thoughts' over the couple's £27million divorce.

It comes as Lauryn Goodman has reportedly entered a plea against her ex Kyle Walker as she plans to leave the UK with their children.

The 33-year-old influencer is said to have asked the footballer for permission to rent out her home while she temporarily lives abroad in Dubai with their two children, Kairo, four, and 16-month-old daughter Kinara.

Lauryn and her two children currently live in a £2.4million Sussex mansion owned by Walker, bought as part of her bizarre demands for child support contributions.

And according to The Sun, Lauryn has contacted his lawyers to ask questions about renting it out as she craves a “change of scenery” after facing backlash amid their paternity scandal.

was on the verge of leaving for Bayern Munich after the treble-winning season in 2023, but opted to stay at the Etihad Stadium and was later made captain.

However, his form has been mixed since then and 20-year-old Rico Lewis has been favored at right-back at times this season. Walker has not featured for City since the derby defeat to Manchester United on December 15.
