Burnley has signed experienced defender Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
The 35-year-old right back has written a two-year-old deal with Turf Moor, who will reunite him with former Tottenham teammate Scott Parker, the boss of the Clarets.
“I am very happy to be here,” said Walker, after his signing was announced on Saturday.
“When I spoke with Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was a chance that I jumped on. He did a great job here and led the club back to the Premier League with a 100-point trek, and now we are looking forward to being back in the largest competition in the world.
“Burnley had a great campaign last season, built on an incredible defense record, and I can't wait to come in and add my experience and quality to what looks like an exciting team.”
Walker spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, and made 16 performances in all competitions.
However, the Serie A-side did not take the option to make the deal permanent, which means that he leaves the city after a trophy loaded eight years of stay.
Walker won 17 trophies with the club, including Six Premier League titles and the Champions League and held a key role in their Treble success in 2022/23.
He has made 410 performances in the Premier League and is closed to England 96 times.
