Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger punished by UEFA but cleared for Arsenal game

Real Madrid can breathe in a sigh of relief after their players will not have UEFA prohibition, which would have excluded them from the first stage of the semi -final of the Champions League against Arsenal. Last week it was announced that Dani Ceballos, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger were being investigated for their behavior in the aftermath of their Champions League round of 16 wins in Atletico Madrid in the Metropolitano.

Vinicius was seen that the Atletico fans are harassing during and after the game, while Mbappe is said to take his cross in the direction of the Atletico fans. On the other hand, with Antonio Rudiger, there seemed to be a genuine fear that the German defender could experience a suspension after doing the gesture of the Atletico fans. However, none of them has been hit with a suspension.

According to Relo, Vinicius has escaped the punishment for his role, while Ceballos has received a fine of € 20k by UEFA for infringing the basic rules of decent behavior. Mbappe has received a fine of € 30k and for the same reasons with a suspended ban on one game for the same reasons, and Rudiger will get the same punishment as Mbappe, with a fine of € 40k. The verdict means that neither players will get an immediate prohibition, but if they will again infringe the rules the following year, they will get a suspension.

A similar punishment far away Jude Bellingham last summer while he was in England at Euro 2024, who also took his crotch during parties. It will be a relief for Carlo Ancelotti, who has noticed that he was not worried about the prospect of a ban, but saw a defense without Rudiger admitted three goals on Tuesday evening. In the other cases there was few indications that they would be forbidden for their behavior, but it means that Los Blancos will be closer to the full strength at the Emirates next week. Ancelotti's most important doubt is about the goalkeeper position when things stand out.
