Mbappe will not be guaranteed to start for Real Madrid in the final of Copa del Rey, because he has burned out a single injury in the last 10 days. He will resume training with his teammates on Thursday, but he may not be fit enough to take his place in the Line-up of Carlo Ancelotti for confrontation against Barcelona.
And it was not only Mbappe's sweater that was kicked off by supporters prior to the kick-off, because Marca released statues of Real Madrid supporters who did the same to a Barcelona shirt with Lamine Yamal on the back.
Both sets of supporters certainly seem to have fire in their stomach prior to the final of Copa del Rey, and that fire has now been transferred to the sweaters of their rivals. It has embodied the mind with which the game is likely to be played, and it will be interesting to see who can do the heat to La Cartuja.
Barcelona goes as favorites in the competition, and their chances would increase if Mbappe would not start. But the despair of Real Madrid not to end the season without a big trophy, could turn them on, just like the feeling when looking for revenge on their bitter rivals after 4-0 and 5-2 defeats earlier in the campaign. Whatever the outcome, it promises to be another fascinating El Clasico, where it is still to be seen that manages to come up with the brag.
