Kylian Mbappe back in the goals as Real Madrid defeat Leganes
Real Madrid have recorded back-to-back wins in La Liga after beating Leganes 3-0 at Butarque in an all-Madrid affair.
The visitors dominated the first half but had to wait until the 43rd minute to break the deadlock. It was a monumental mistake from Adri Altimara who gifted the ball to Vinicius Junior and set up Kylian Mbappe to score his first goal in five games.
Just after the hour, Real Madrid would score their second goal thanks to Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan, who was captain that day, fired in a well-taken free kick, his fourth goal of the season.
Later, Jude Bellingham scored goals in back-to-back matches, taking advantage of an accidental bounce off the crossbar to head into an empty net.
The result means that Real Madrid moves back into second place in La Liga above Atletico Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti's side have cut Barcelona's lead to four points after playing a game less than their bitter rivals.
