Kylian Mbappe earns huge honour given to Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham

Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he will receive a figure this year at Madame Tussauds London.

A first waxwork from the Real Madrid -Superster was shown last year in Madame Tussauds Berlin, and now there is one on the way to the English capital just in time for the Easter holidays in April.

The figure of Mbappe goes in the cultural capital zone in addition to fellow football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham, as well as seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Mbappe has expressed his joy to get his own figure in the iconic location in London after he had worked with artists to get the project over the line.

“I have worked with Madame Tussauds London for a few months now and I am so excited to see the completed figure who will participate in the London Line Up!” he said.

'I was blown away by the figure of the Madame Tussauds Berlin, it looks so much like I that it is almost disturbing – and now there will be one!

“The love of the UK for football is incredible, with really passionate fans, so having my figure in London next to Legends is both great and a great honor!”

General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, Steve Blackburn, added: 'Kylian Mbappé is one of the biggest names in the international football of men, who leads two iconic teams: France and Real Madrid. We feel that we have hit the back of the net and can work directly with the star to make his figure!

'Working with Mbappé while making his first Madame Tussauds London figure has been great – he has been so patient while we asked him to sit still before the session when he is so used to being active and running around the field!

“We can't wait to welcome fans from all over the world to hit a pose next to this playing superstar.”

It has also been announced that every child under the age of 16 will have an official Mbappe shirt free access to the attraction.

This includes a French National Team shirt, Real Madrid, PSG or Monaco, where Mbappe started his illustrious career.

Now his trade in Madrid, Mbappe has begun to find his feet in Spain after he made a slow start last summer after his free transfer.

The World Cup winner has 21 goals this season in 33 performances and has a huge week in front of him on the field.

Madrid has a derby against Atletico on Saturday, with only one point that is currently separating the top two in Laliga.

They will then travel to England to take on Manchester City in the Champions League next Tuesday, because the two European giants strive to book their place in the last 16 of the competition.
