Kylian Mbappe inspires Real Madrid to power past battling Leganes

Real Madrid has answered the La Liga title of Barcelona with a Vecht 3-2 home victory on Leganes.

The side of Carlo Ancelotti returned from the international break that had to win at home with their local rivals to go back to points at the top with their El Clasico enemies.

Despite the fact that the majority of the game parfladed, the rotated Ancelotti team showed their steel, because the on-Fire Kylian Mbappe made the most important difference.

A restrained meeting came to life just after the half hour that Mbappe casually covered a Panenka-Penalty to place the hosts 1-0 in front.

However, that lead was canceled within 60 seconds, while Diego Garcia was able to make a Lucas Vazquez error to the same.

The setback was deepened before the break for Ancelotti when Dani Raba silent the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to shift Leganes with 2-1.

Real Madrid had not lost a league match since October, and their title winning grit started immediately after the restart, while Jude Bellingham bundled home from close by to bind the game.

With the hosts not in a position to settle for a draw, because the title deployment Hemels remains high, Ancelotti turned to his bank and threw Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde – who were all equipped after long journeys from the break.

That reinforced the pressure on the back line of the Leganes and they were eventually undone by a piece of Mbappe magie while rolling a free kick to Fran Garcia and curled home an excellent winner.

Doel No. 33 of the Mbappe debut campaign in Madrid corresponds to that of the first season of Cristiano Ronaldo in the club from 2009/10 with only Ivan Zamarano now in that list.

There is no time to get off the gas for the Ancelotti team, because they are confronted with a Copa del Rey Semi Final Second -stage against Real Sociedad on 1 April.
