However, a spectacular trophy for PSG means that the French giants will also be involved, with Mbappe's France teammate Ousmane Dembele the current favorite.
Dembele has been transformed after his decision to leave Barcelona for Paris in 2023 with Lamine Yamal since his replacement.
Although he was not involved in the formal voice process, Mbappe who should win the prize was prior to the play -off of the French UEFA Nations League with Germany.
Lamine Yamal scored twice to incorporate Spain in the semi -final of France, but Mbappe believes that Dembele's exploits with PSG should give him the trophy.

Former winner Cristiano Ronaldo also looked to reduce the pressure on Lamine Yamal by indicating that 2025 might not be his year.
The 17-year-old ended the 2024/25 season with 18 goals scored in all competitions compared to 33 for Dembele.
Lamine Yamal, however, obtained more assists, with 21 against Dembele's 13 in Paris.
The race for the trophy looks like a battle between the two, but Dembele has two advantages.
