Kylian Mbappe follows Real Madrid Groot's Ferenc Puskas, Clarence Seedorf and Luis Figo by wearing the iconic number 10 sweater after the departure of Luka Modric to AC Milan, said the LaLiga club late Tuesday.
The 26-year-old French attacker wore the number nine shirt in his debut season after arrival from Paris St Germain on a free transfer.
He scored 44 goals in all matches in the 2024-25 season, although he was unable to lift a large trophy.
Among the other elite players who wear the number 10 shirt for Real Madrid, are Gheorghe Hagi, Michael Laudrup, Robinho and Mesut Ozil.
