La Liga president Javier Tebas has shown he is not at all happy with the Sports Ministry's decision to grant Barcelona a temporary ban, leaving Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registered while their arguments are played out. He has also pointed the finger in an unexpected direction.
On Wednesday evening, the CSD Barcelona issued an emergency injunction against the deregistration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, a move that means they will be available until the matter is resolved. It also prevents them from leaving for free, as they could have done before it was awarded.
A decision that was opposed by La Liga and the RFEF, who deregistered both players, effectively meaning they could not play for the remainder of the season. Tebas has now complained about the decision on Twitter/X, but also points the finger at Real Madrid.

Chapter 1 of this tragicomedy
There are many things surprising about the recent precaution:
1. Speed of the process: an unusual speed that did not give rise to any opinion from LaLiga or the RFEF.
2. Forgetting previous resolutions: ignoring previous decisions of both the CSD and the courts.
3. Statement of lack of competence of the Oversight Committee: This decision shows a profound lack of knowledge about how prior approvals and quasi-final licenses are managed. Are there no prior agreements in these institutions?
Moreover, at no point is there any mention of the articles of the RFEF regulations that prevented the licensing of players, which is the key to the problem and not economic control. Was this an intentional omission?
It is clear that with this precaution, the CSD contradicts what is stated in the reasons for the Sports Law, which praise the economic control of LaLiga. This control, admired worldwide, has been crucial in saving countless historic clubs from collapse and creating an integrated competition on and off the pitch. However, the CSD questions this and again shows a lack of knowledge about the consequences of its decisions (which is not the first time). For some time now, the CSD – and in particular its president, who gives the right instructions – seems to have aimed at dismantling the systems that function in LaLiga and enjoy the majority support of the clubs. The president of the CSD seems to listen to one voice, which does not represent Spanish professional football. And that voice, strangely enough, maintains a complicit silence in this matter. Where is Real Madrid TV now? (to be continued…)
