And according to the report, La Liga Real Madrid's decision has feel uncomfortable. They see it far from ideal that they will have less time to prepare for their crucial second stage against Arsenal, in which they have to destroy a shortage of three goals.
It should be noted that Arsenal is in action on Saturday when they organize Brentford in their newest Premier League luminaire, and this is likely to feed further anger and frustration within Real Madrid, who has 24 hours less than their Champions League opponents. But it is a situation that Carlo Ancelotti and his side have to deal with, and they cannot afford to take the match against Alaves light, because slightly less than a victory could lose them more ground in the La Liga title race.
