According to the latest report from La Repubblica, Luka Modrić is ready to sign a one -year contract with AC Milan.
Milan is interested in signing Luka Modric with the midfielder who will soon become a free agent when he leaves Real Madrid.
The 39-year-old announced his decision to leave the club last month and ended his 14-year-old stay in the Spanish capital.
The Serie A Club explores a deal for the Croatia International, which still has to decide on what his next step will be with other clubs that are expected to have significant importance.
Modric played 591 times for Madrid since he joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, scored 43 goals and won 26 trophies. Among those trophies there are four LA Liga titles, while he helped his side with a record-livelette six Champions League trophies.
After the victory of Madrid's Champions League in 2017-18, as well as his leading role in the Run from Croatia to the World Cup Final in Russia, Modric won the Ballon d'Or and he became the first player other than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to do this since Kaka in 2007.
Croatia has world cup qualifications against Gibraltar on 6 June and the Czech Republic on 9 June.
Real Madrid starts their club World Cup campaign against Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League on 18 June. They are also confronted with the Mexican side Pachuca on 22 June before they conclude their group campaign against RB Salzburg on 26 June.
