LaLiga star HEADBUTTS and thumps his team-mate in shocking scenes
Mallorca defender Johan Mojica bizarrely headbutted his own teammate during their LaLiga defeat to Barcelona.
Mallorca have had an impressive season so far, with the Island club sitting in sixth place and just two points off the Champions League places.
However, they received a reality check from Barcelona on Tuesday evening, with the Catalan giants extending their lead over Real Madrid to four points at the top of the table after a 5-1 away win.
The in-form Raphinha scored twice, while Ferran Torres, Frenkie de Jong and Pau Victor also appeared on the scoresheet.
Things looked good for the hosts when Vedat Muriqi equalized just before half-time, but things got even worse after the break.
In the 56th minute, Mallorca left-back Mojica Lamine beat Yamal in the area and conceded a penalty, leaving the Colombian furious.
After awarding the penalty, Mojica saw the red mist and noticeably confronted his teammate Manu Morlanes, before headbutting him.
Morlanes did not react to the headbutt, but said something back to his colleague, before Mojica then punched him on the arm.
Mojica's actions towards his teammate were bizarre, with no apparent motivation, although Morlanes spoke quietly at the time with his mouth covered.
Mojica's moment of madness capped a disastrous night for the 32-year-old Colombian, who struggled throughout against Yamal.
He made a costly mistake for the first goal and was regularly beaten by the 17-year-old as Barcelona attacked.
Mojica joined Mallorca from Villarreal this summer in the next step of a career that has seen him play for seven different Spanish clubs, while also amassing 36 caps for Colombia.
His side are back in action on Friday when they travel to take on Celta Vigo, who are currently 12th in the Spanish top flight.
