Lazio coach Baroni happy with victory over Bologna: We played with courage
Tommaso Pobega was sent off to Bologna before Lazio scored their goals through Samuel Gigot, Mattia Zacagni and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
“As I have said from the beginning, the team wants to play an attacking style of football, it does it with courage and that is what we want to see,” Baroni told DAZN.
“Of course we are also happy with the results, for the club and the fans. First and foremost, I want my team to have this identity and always approach every match with this attitude.
“I always say they have to be aggressive and it is true that we were against ten men, but the fact is that we were aggressive from the start against a Bologna team in great form. We pinned them back and took the game in the direction we wanted, even before the red card.”
He added: “I come from situations where I always needed everyone, I couldn't leave anyone behind, so the players feel like they can earn their chance with me. I try to emphasize that every time and think of 22 first-choice players, especially when we have three major competitions to compete in.
“The atmosphere around us is remarkable and when I talked about the emotion that this team must convey to the public, that is something that we must continue to do,”
