Leao came on with Milan trailing 2-0 and achieved a 3-2 turnaround in Riyadh on Monday evening.
“I didn't know (Sergio) Conceicao personally, I had heard from friends in Porto who worked with him that he had a strong character. What he has done in just a few days is incredible,” said Leao.
“What he says, I need that, and I felt that energy that everyone needed. I feel like the change is visible both on and off the field. This mentality will help us win and do what we did today.
“We never gave up against Juventus and Inter. You can't always have your best match, but you can still win matches with character.”
Leao also said: “It's hunger and energy. Sometimes you make mistakes, you can make a wrong pass or make a dribble, but the desire makes the difference. We had that desire against Juventus and it is also of fundamental importance today.
“No one can feel comfortable in their place just because they are in Milan. Everyone must be willing to help the team and give the best of themselves. I know the coach will push me to be my best and I in turn will help the coach because I know he will push me.”
