Nottingham Forest has seen bids for RC Strasbourg Elsace's Dilane Bakwa (22) rejected. Although their interest in the French Youth International remains, they no longer lead the race, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri.
Bakwa was an important part of the Run from Strasbourg to the UEFA Europa Conference League places last season. Despite the ambition of the club to continue now, his departure was a possibility through the window. RCSA has set a price tag of € 35 million on the attacker, a figure that does not yet have to meet a party.
However, that can change. According to Tavolieri, Leeds United is now leading the race for Bakwa and are willing to meet Strasbourg to the appreciation of the Strasbourg player. Although there is trust that the newly promoted party can close a deal, Nottingham Forest remains in the race. The Frenchman has also been the subject of approaches from Germany this summer.
