Leeds move top of Championship after Luton domination
Leeds United moved to the top of the Championship after dominating Luton Town in a 3-0 win on Wednesday.
Daniel Farke's side overcame a seven-goal thriller with a last-gasp winner against Swansea City on Sunday but faced no such drama at Elland Road three days later.
Sam Byram converted an early chance but inadvertently set aside his own sumptuous volley for a 10th-minute lead, before Joel Piroe scored from close range on the rebound on the stroke of half-time.
Substitute Dan James secured a routine second-half win as Leeds advanced ahead of second-placed Sheffield United on goal difference, with the pair two points ahead of Burnley.

At the other end of the table, Queens Park Rangers climbed from bottom spot with a 2-0 win over Cardiff City, thanks to Zan Celar's first two goals for the club.
The Slovenian international came under heavy criticism after missing a penalty in Saturday's draw against Stoke City, but silenced his critics with goals in both halves at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Fellow strugglers Portsmouth slipped to the bottom of the league after their match against Millwall was postponed due to a faulty floodlight at Fratton Park.
Play-off hopefuls Middlesbrough had scored 15 goals in their three-match winning streak but that came to an abrupt end after Dominic Hyam's 83rd-minute strike snatched victory for Blackburn Rovers.
Michael Carrick's side are still in sixth place and occupy the final play-off spot, but Blackburn's win saw them jump to eighth, just two points behind their hosts at the Riverside.

Swansea City secured a 2-1 victory over Derby County in Wednesday's other match, with the visitors suffering damage in the first half after goals from Zan Vipotnik and Ronald.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing pulled one back for Paul Warne's hosts at Pride Park, where the defeat left Derby in 15th place and four places behind Swansea, who were recovering from successive defeats earlier.
