The feud between Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev seems to have exercised beyond the hunters, because both managers are now involved in the beef.
Since Ilia Topuria has recorded the UFC -Fedweight title, he has openly talked about his desire to fight against Islam Makhachev.
This resulted in a constant online feud between the two, because Topuria claimed that he would send Makhachev to the hospital if they eventually fought on the street.
De Vee, however, took a turn earlier this week when Topuria shockingly left his featherweight title and announced that he will make his permanent switch to the lightweight division, in the pursuit of a fight against Makhachev.

The manager of Ilia Topuria responds to the team of Islam Makhachev
Since 'El Matador' has spoken about a possible movement up to 155 pounds, his Makhachev and his team against the idea of fighting him. His head coach, Khabib Nurmagomedov, claimed that he first had to fight against a competition and earned his right to fight against the Russian champion.
That idea was then continued earlier this week when the Makhachev manager closed the potential Topuria fight and which stated that the lightweight champion does not want to fight a 'small featherweight' again.
Unfortunately, the title line of Makhakevet has been somewhat plagued, without guilt, because all its title defenses have come up against former or current feather weight so far.
Despite the fact that, after the comments from the manager of the Russian champion, the 28-year-old Spaniards manager introduced himself in De Vede by backing back to the Makhakev team.
“I would like to stay for myself, but when certain managers come out and talk about 'the man is too small, he should not go up, he has to fight someone else,” let's make sure we get the facts well, 'Topuria's manager, Malki Kawa started to explain it.
“He (Alexander) Volkanovski hit his first opportunity to eliminate him, the fight was not close. When your client fought people, he struggled with him for the first time, don't forget that.
“Secondly, he hits and hits him, after which he eliminates Max Holloway, who happens to be one of the largest 145LB hunters of all time. I am not sure why he does not earn a chance on 155 pounds, but I don't blame you, I don't want my client to fight Ilia Topuria, “he went on.
Who could fight Ilia Topuria in lightweight if he doesn't get an immediate title shot?
With Makhachev and his team apparently against fighting 'El Matador' before he has registered a new victory in lightweight, fans wondered who he could fight, if not the champion.
Topuria narrowly avoided the defeat in his lightweight debut and hopes for a more smooth sailing outing in his permanent move to the division.
If the promotion chooses to give him an immediate title shot, there is realistic only one name that makes sense to the Spaniard. Charles Oliveira is currently in second place in the division and a number one competition fight between the two can be logical.
