Barcelona lost for the first time in 46 League F matches on Saturday and suffered a 2-1 defeat by Lowly Levante at home.
Barca, who beat Real Madrid 5-0 in the Supercopa de Espana Femenina last Sunday, dropped points for the first time when they crashed on their first loss of competition since May 2023.
Levante, who is in second place in the table, took a 50th minute lead thanks to the thunderous strike by Maria Alharilla, before they double their benefit in the interruption time by Ivonne Chacon.
Barcelona pulled one back a minute later by replacement Fridolina Rolfo, but it was too late to save a result.
However, it was not because of the lack of trying, because Barcelona registered 47 shots on Saturday, creating 5.11 expected goals (XG) of their chances. 13 of their efforts were on goal, while they also driven the post twice via Graham and Salma Paralluelo.
In the meantime, Levante had only six chances and scored with half of their shots on goal, even though they had only six accents in the opposition box. Barcelona had 92.
