Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong signs HUGE £20m boot deal with New Balance

Bayer Leverkusen Wing Back Jeremie Frimpong has become the European face of New Balance in one of the largest boot agreements in football – prior to a possible movement this summer.

Mail Sport can reveal that the Dutch International, 24, has written a contract worth around £ 20 million – which places him in the same bracket as the deals of Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi with Nike and Adidas respectively.

Frimpong is appreciated by many clubs in Europe and New Balance sees him as the most exciting on the continent – with a move to England or a top European club possible on the cards this summer.

The contract was structured by his brother and team – and the Deal brand focuses on his dedication to community and family with Frimpong's Charity, Pathways, who supports footballers who do not reach the highest level.

Frimpong is a summer target for a multitude of sides. Liverpool has been disputed as a potential destination, although sources close to the English leaders have played this, while others like Manchester United would like to be next to the best European clubs.

The Amsterdam, born in Amsterdam, started his career at the Academy of Manchester City before moving to Celtic. He signed for Leverkusen in 2021 and excelled under Xabi Alonso when they won the Bundesliga against the chances last season.
