Barcelona Vooruit Robert Lewandowski has added his goal and break the impasse at home to Rayo Vallecano for the Catalan giants. The Polish striker has converted his third penalty of the season to reach 20 goals in La Liga, while he continues on top of the Pichichi -Leaderboard.
The competition is not a special interest for Barcelona, since title Rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have both dropped points during the weekend. For the first time, a victory would take the Blaugrana -above the La Liga table because they had given the lead.
Inigo Martinez was brought in the box by Rayo -midfielder Pathhe Ciss in a corner, and after VAR review it was decided that Ciss' manhandling was exceeding the line. Against a penalty expert in Augusto Batalla, Lewandowski kept his courage to fire from the pole. The Blaugrana will hope for a clean slate that would leave them at the top of La Liga.
