Lewis-Skelly breaks record with stunning goal on England debut vs. Albania

Myles Lewis -S -Skelly celebrated a goal about his debut in England – and a piece of history.

The full-back of Arsenal opened the score against Albania on his first senior three lion performances.

And at the age of 18 years and 176 days, he became the youngest player ever scored on his first English cap.

Lewis-Skelly surpassed the record of teammate Marcus Rashford-Die at 18 years and 209 days against Australia in May 2016.

Rashford, 27, happened to be his first international performance in a year in the qualifying opener of England in the World Cup.

The aim of Lewis -Skelly was the first of the reign of Thomas Tuchel as the boss of England – where the German Sir Gareth Southgate followed.

Tuchel spoke strongly about Lewis-Skelly in the midst of a lack of options at left back.

He said: “With injuries lately and the last injury form Lewis Hall, we walked a little bit left to play that links.

“We were always impressed by Myles since he started that he came so quickly, a regular player for Arsenal, the second best team in the country at the moment, quarter -finalist in Champions League so enormous summary in his club and Mikel Arteta chooses him regularly so this is very impressive from the beginning.”

ITV Pundits Ian Wright and Roy Keane were also full of praise.

Wright said: “It was a good cause – in fact it was an excellent goal where you look at where it came from.

“Roy, you had it there there [Jude] Bellingham. “

Keane said: “The movement, listen, you have to take risks in this game. I thought it was an absolutely brilliant goal.

“The pass, the weight of the pass, the timing of the run. The finish of your full-back, I thought it was absolutely fantastic.”

Lewis -Skelly admitted that he expected to get a call through Tuchel – but knew his new manager for Uber Eats.

He told his declan rice and then Burn: “I was on the phone with my friend the day before the big announcement.

“Then I received a phone call from a number, so I had something like:” Oh Bro, I have to call you back, let me accept this call. “

“So I hung up with my friend and put my good voice on. I was ready and then the person who speaks is:” We have your food, it's outside. “

“It's uber eating for my mother.”

Rice and Burn was left behind the story in hysteria, but Lewis-Skelly added: “I was just over the moon and ran through the house.

“It was a good time for me and my family. I was just so happy because it is such a big step and a big achievement.

“I was just so proud of myself and so grateful that I got the chance.”

Harry Kane helped to finish a 2-0 win in what a memorable debut was for Lewis-Skelly.
