Kosovo international Edon Zhegrova (25) did not make the trip to Merseyside because the Lille winger is struggling with an adductor injury. Zhegrova's absence will benefit Mitchel Bakker. The Dutch full-back is instructed to use some muscle and defend his right flank for Aïssa Mandi.
Fortunately, Lille head coach Bruno Genesio can count on his trusted central defenders: Bafodé Diakité and Alexsandro. French international goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier will start between the sticks and at the other end of the Anfield pitch, Canadian centre-forward Jonathan David will look to prove his worth under the Champions League spotlight.
17-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who impressed with a mature performance against Real Madrid earlier in the Champions League, will be one to watch for Liverpool tonight.
