Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have explained why they believe that Arsenal will again miss the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners finished in second place in each of the last three seasons and are determined to end their long wait for the title.
Arsenal is very active on the transfer market this summer, with striker Viktor Gyokeres and midfielder Martin Zubimendi under the most important signing sessions.
Noni Madueke, Crithian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have also become a member of the club.
There could be even further at Emirates Stadium before the closure of the transfer window, with Crystal Palace star Ebereechi Eze among the players linked to Arsenal.
However, Lineker and Shearer have predicted that the Mikel Arteta team will again fall short in their search for glory.
Newcastle legend Shearer believes that Arsenal does not have enough to win the title.
About the rest is the football podcast, Shearer said: 'I think they are challenging, I just think they can fall short again.
“I like all their signing sessions. I think that is exactly what they needed. And I still don't think they might be ready in terms of bringing in players and certainly players who go out.
'I certainly brought them to Champions League, but I just don't see them enough to win the title. Just short. '
Lineker believes that Gyokees will play an important role to play for Arsenal, but still believes that the Gunners will miss success.
Lineker said: 'I think I am both agree with both of you. I would probably not have said that if it was not that Liverpool was strengthened so well.
'A lot will also depend on how Gyokeres does that. I mean, he scored a great goal in the preseason, but we all know that the preseason is not that important. Although, it is for a striker in terms of that feeling to touch the back of the net.
'So I think a lot will depend on him, but we know he will get a good service. I think they can go close again, but I'm going to agree. '
In the meantime, Micah Richards is of the opinion that, despite improving their team, Arsenal could struggle again if they are injured in important players.
Richards said: 'It is a difficult one because I remember that I said last season that I thought Manchester City would have won if everyone stayed fit. When [City] Got injuries, those small injuries can be the difference.
'Gyokeres bringing in now for Arsenal is huge. And not just because he is a big name ahead. Because of his movement we talk about all the time with strikers. Havertz is really good, we are all big fans of Havertz, but in a number 10 position where he can create, do not lead the border.
I know [Havertz has] Really a good exercise when he plays there, but he has no instinct of a striker. So that's why I think Gyokeres will add something very special.
'I still don't know if it's enough to get them over the line. I still don't know. I think one or two injuries and they are back to the same as last season. So I'm going to say challenging but not champions. '
Arsenal will get their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they get away opposite Manchester United.
