Lineker reveals reason why he snubbed EPL icon who begged for his shirt during

Gary Lineker shared how he once beat a Premier League icon icon that asked for his shirt when the former striker played for Barcelona.

The icon in question was a Ballboy for the Catalan giants while Lineker played for the club, because he spent three years from 1986 to 1989 after moving Everton.

Speaking of the day of the day Top 10 next to Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, Lineker told the show of the first time he interviewed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola graduated from the famous La Masia Academy of the club and made 382 performances for his boys' club.

He played for the Barcelona reserve teams after Lineker left the club before he started making his debut under Johan Cruyff and became a regular starter in 1990.

After his retirement, Guardiola confirmed his name in management by coaching one of the best teams in modern times to two Treble-winning seasons.

He then left the club in 2012 before he came to Bayern Munich in 2013, where he changed them to the most dominant side of the Bundesliga.

He then came to City in 2016 and confirmed himself as one of the greatest managers in the English competition by becoming the first coach to win four Premier League titles in a row.
