Juve was dumped from the Coppa Italia last night by Empoli, after he was also eliminated from the Champions League and was now outside the top four of Serie A.
Lippi told La Gazzetta Dello Sport: “I expect more from Motta in terms of character. But it is not an absolute criticism, he does his job and he is an excellent coach.
“However, the Juve bank is like the shirt: it weighs more.”
Lippi also said: “For me, Inter can win the Champions League.
“(Antonio) Conte brought Napoli back to the ranking of (Luciano) Spalletti and it is not magical, it is the quality of the proposal of a top coach. With a full calendar, however, Inter has an advantage over Napoli. I remember that I had players who did not want to be omitted, even in friendly matches.”
