Lewis Steele van Mail Sport rates the players of Anfield, while the Reds remain on the right track to climb a first piece of silverware.

Liverpool (4-2-3-1)

Caoimhin Kelleher – 6

Alisson was equipped and in reality they could have chosen every old Codger from the crowd to go into the goal for Liverpool, so was the lack of threat to Spurs.

Conor Bradley – 8.5

A phenomenal football player and one who, when he plays, forgets fans that Trent Alexander-Arnold is missing. A constant living wire right.

Ibrahima Konate – 7

Cover the front pole so well and often plague his men. Richarlison and then count had no pinch.

Virgil van Dijk – 8

Set the pace when he left there on a Richarlison in the first minutes. He was ready for the fight and, as the norm is, came at the top. Brilliant header for 4-0.

Andy Robertson – 7.5

Has been criticized this season by sections of the fan base, but the captain of Scotland has been solid for the past fourteen days.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7.5

Makes everything easy. Wriggles from tight spaces, starts attacks with spicy steps and protects the rear four.

Curtis Jones – 7

Always a willing runner after he had gotten the nod over Alexis Mac Allister, who was equipped, and Jones buzzed with intention around the midfield area.

Mohamed Salah – 8

Pass for Nunez seconds before the striker won a penalty for 2-0 in was perfect. Ball for the goal of Gakpo was also beautiful. It goes without saying that he sent his spot kick in style.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 7

Constantly found space between the lines and caused all kinds of problems for traces. Never stop running when Liverpool is out of possession.

Cody Gakpo – 8

Has already matched his goal post for last season with this his 16th of the season. The flying Dutchman is in a red -hot form and should now aim a campaign of 30 goals.

Darwin Nunez – 8.5 (MOTM)

Perhaps not the popular image, but this was his best performance of the season. His runs behind terrorized traces, his link-up game had improved much compared to the norm and he set a huge shift of the ball.

Tottenham (4-3-3)

Antonin Kinsky – 4

Already in general dealing with an attack in the first half, but just has to save Gakpo's strike for the opening goal. Gave the fine away for 2-0.

Archie Gray – 5.5

Will learn a lot from this elongated run in the team, but struggled at Gakpo and Robertson on that side.

Kevin Danso – 5

The new signing of Lens, once from MK Dons and Reading's Academies, did well, but this was the definition of 'thrown in the deep'.

Ben Davies – 6

Had a tough night against the physical presence of Nunez and often had to cover spence when Salah had defeated him.

Djed Spence – 4.5

Was torn apart by Salah. Was excellent against Brentford last week, but really struggled here.

Yves Bissouma – 5

Game passed him and his colleagues in midfield when Liverpool created Golf after wave of attacks.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 4

Often cheap lost and struggled to cope with Szoboszlai's sharp run of the ball. Terrible display.

Pape Matar Sarr – 5

The press led for traces, but was often played too easily.

Dejan Kulusevski – 6

Was the most willing of the away match in terms of an attacking threat, but the end product was missing.

Richarlison – 5

Koos a fight with Van Dijk in the first minutes and continued to scrape with the captain of Liverpool until he was injured late in the first half.

Heung -Min Son – 4.5

It seems to have unnoticed how much son has decreased this season. Not effective here at all.
