In his first season at Merseyside, Arne Slot led the Reds to their first Premier League title since 2020.

Slot has wasted little time watching the defense of the title of Liverpool, with the club now leaders to sign Florian Wirtz this summer and with Jeremie Frimpong who arrives from Leverkusen.
A Dutchman who will not have any involvement for the Reds in 2025-26 is former assistant boss John Heitinga after agreeing to become Ajax manager.
The former Everton defender arrived in Anfield last summer and served as Slot's no 2 during their Premier League-winning campaign.
However, the 41-year-old will now return to Amsterdam for the fourth time, after he had enjoyed two spells in the club as a player and a short stint that was in charge of the senior side in 2023.
Heitinga has agreed a two -year contract and replaces Francesco Farioli, who left the club after a single season.
The former defender will be accompanied in the Dugout by colleague Ajax Academy graduate Marcel Keizer.
“John is a good coach with a huge drive,” said Alex Kroes Alex Kroes Ajax.
'He is ambitious and has developed further in the Premier League and Champions League in recent years.
“John knows the club well and we are convinced that, together with Marcel, he will help improve our players and build on the progress that has been made since last summer.”
The most successful club in the history of Dutch football, Ajax has not won an Eredivisie title since Erik ten Hag led the club to victory in 2022.
