Liverpool consider transfer exit as £12m forgotten man’s new role hits home

Arne Slot is his plans for the new season and mentioned four new signing sessions in his Liverpool that started XI to play Crystal Palace in the Community Shield, but Greece International Kostas Tsimikas was not at all involved with the team completely

Liverpool – defender Kostas Tsimikas is confronted with an uncertain future – and a more chance of being away from Anfield – after he is excluded from Arne Slot's Matchday Squad for the Community Shield. Plans for the new season take shape for their Premier League title defense, with four new signing sessions in his starting line -up for Sunday's game against Crystal Palace.

Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez were respectively handed to work and left-back, while Records signed Florian Wirtz was chosen to play in the attacks of midfield. New attacker Hugo Ekitike also got the nod in attack.

Veteran left back Andy Robertson was also present on the sofa of the replacements as cover for Kerkez, with the two who fight a lot to be the first choice on Merseyside. But that makes Greece look firmly on the outside.

As such, Tsimikas will probably continue before the end of the transfer window can be closed for the 29-year-old. It is claimed that a number of clubs 'circling' for his signature, led by Premier League pair Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

The Greece International has made a total of 115 performances for Liverpool since he joined Olympiakos in 2020, but has never been able to use Robertson as the first choice. Last season he only made nine starts in the Premier League and had to take risks in the Cup matches after five starts in the Champions League and two in the FA Cup.

Liverpool still wants to upgrade their defensive options if they offer to sign a new center-back. They currently only have three senior options in the center of defense after Jarrell Quansah signed for Bayer Leverkusen.

Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi has emerged as an option and Reds Chiefs are open to bringing in the English international before the current window is closed, if a deal can be closed for a price that they like. If not, they are willing to wait until next summer and sign Guehi for free, unless another excellent option will be presenting in the coming weeks.
