Fans of Liverpool are convinced that Hugo Ekitike may have just dropped a big hint with regard to Alexander Isak with his recent comments.
The £ 79 million striker was unveiled this week after completing his large Money Movement by Eintracht Frankfurt, making him the fifth signing of the summer of summer.
But the Premier League champions may not stop there, as Mail Sport has exclusively reported on Thursday that Isak will explore his options from Newcastle, with LiverpoolCirkeling.
After having splashed almost £ 300 million this summer, many wonder if Liverpool has the money for Isak and whether there would be room for the Sweden International in their already stacked forward line.
Although Ekitike is not an accountant, he seemed indirectly to answer the last question when he was asked where his preferred position on the football field is.
The Frenchman said: 'I can't just define myself as a striker [who likes] To finish. I like to play, I like to be in the game, in the collective part of the game [and] Create too.
“So I can do both – I can play alone and I also like to play with another striker.”
Those comments immediately caught the attention of Liverpool fans on social media, who now speculate that the club is planning to link Ekitike to another attack name – with Isak the most obvious candidate.
