Liverpool does not seem to have been patient with Darwin Nunez, where the Uruguayan had missed ahead who missed too many opportunities for them to consider keeping him a starting option. At the age of 25 it is no surprise that the Uruguayan plays on a regular role, even if it is not Anfield.
NUNEZ has started with just over a quarter of Liverpool's Premier League matches since the arrival of Arne Slot, and only has six goals and five assists in his name during 35 performances, although it should be noted that many of those matches of the were bank. Currently he is an average of a target contribution every 155 minutes, albeit in a deadly Liverpool attack.
According to appropriate offside, Nunez can leave this summer through Liverpool, who feel that they are better off from him as a result of his inconsistent form. It is not yet clear what price tag they would demand, since they have spent € 85 million to him, and Nunez is still only 25. He also has three years about his contract.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is said to be an admirer of Nunez, and with a chance that Antoine Griezmann leaves to fulfill his goal to play in Major League football this summer, they can be looking for an attacker. Allegedly they also looked at Wolves' Fabio Silva, who made an impression on loan in Las Palmas, and Crystal Palace Vooruit Jean-Phillipe Mateta.
It would be a big surprise if Atletico would move to Mateta or Nunez, given that they have just spoken more than € 30 million for Alexander Sorloth, who has been in good shape this season. Even if they try to bring an attacker to replace Griezmann, the Frenchman or the Uruguayan seems like a duplication of sorloth resources, and both would probably be expensive additions.
