Bournemouth -defender Dean Huijsen has been one of the signing sessions of the summer and will be a number of top teams that pursues his signature, with Liverpool and Chelsea who are at the front of the queue
Liverpool has been given a setback in their attempts to sign Dean Huijsen, whereby Chelsea reportedly contacted the Defender van Bournemouth. The 19-year-old has been one of the striking players of the Premier League season and has a number of teams that chase him this summer.
Huijsen seems to have a bright future and Liverpool is one of the teams that is said to follow the teenager – especially in view of the fact that the future of Virgil van Dijk stays in the air while approaching the end of his contract.
But Liverpool could have serious competition after reports from the Spanish outlet sport that Chelsea -Baas Enzo Maresca made personal contact with Huijsen during a move to Stamford Bridge.
The report adds that a new defender who can play in the middle of the back and full-back is a “clear priority” for the blues, who also followed Jules Kounde in Barcelona.
Chelsea was strongly connected to Kounde in 2022, before he came to Barcelona, and saw him as a priority that this summer signed above Huijsen as the more experienced and experienced defender.
It adds that Huijsen, who has a contract until 2030, remains an important target, has a release clause of £ 50 million in its deal.
