Liverpool ‘hijack Arsenal’s £200,000 deal for 17-year-old Salford City wonderkid’

Liverpool is said to have wrapped Arsenal for the signing of Salford City Wonderkid Will Wright.

The 17-year-old striker, who made his debut for the Mancunian side in January, is the subject of interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool this transfer window.

After sending Scouts North to view Wright, the Gunners agreed with a £ 200,000 deal with Salford to secure the services of the young person.

But Liverpool, who has previously made an offer worth £ 100,000, has now hijacked the deal and reached a full agreement with both the player and the club, according to the athletics.

Wright is supposed to want to stay in the northwest, where he is now being coached by former Wales manager Rob Page in the U21S team of Liverpool.

Manchester City also showed interest in the target scorer, but ultimately did not make any bid.

Wright's Salford debut came during the 8-0 on his side at the Etihad Stadium in January.

He only played a few minutes, but his inclusion underlined the confidence of the League Two Club in him.

This season he went two more gigs in League Two for Salford.

Wright, who scored more than 50 goals last season, is one of the youngest players ever debuting for the club.

He is in the second year of his scholarship, which was spotted with playing for local parties Euxton Villa and fyled only two years ago.
