Liverpool has made a considerable breakthrough in their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.
As reported by athletics, the Reds have reached an overview agreement with Frankfurt while they want to sign to sign the highly valued 23-year-old.
Liverpool is now working on completing the deal, which can be closed soon.
If all add-ons are met, it is expected that Ekitike could be a club record sale for Frankfurt.
The current record sale of Frankfurt is that of Randal Kolo Muani, who came to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 for £ 64.2 million plus £ 12.2 million.
Ekitike was dropped from the start setup of Eintracht Frankfurt for their friendly against FSV Frankfurt on Saturday amidst speculation about his future.
