Liverpool will not stand still this summer and rest on their laurels. The club wants to be busy on the transfer market and strengthen their team to compete again next season and to develop the next title -winning team.
Even Captain Virgil van Dijk said that the club is 'planning to make it a big summer' while signing his new two -year contract earlier this month. Given that Arsenal and Manchester City are both planning to invest considerably, Liverpool knows that they should do the same to stay ahead.
Work on Doelen to improve Arne Slot team has been going on since Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes arrived last year.
Liverpool has already secured a new keeper in Giorgi Mhamardashvili – the 24 -year -old Georgia International that was purchased last summer but had remained on loan for the season in Valencia – as well as a wing player in Federico Chiesa, who suffered this period with injury problems.
The Reds now want to move quickly that the Premier League title is being won, with their priority positions a new striker, winger and left back that form most of their plan.
If they are successful with that, they will look to go to a new central midfielder, further help on the right, since Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected, you join Real Madrid on a free transfer and a new young center-back.
So who do they focus on? …
Strike
We know that three players have been interested in Liverpool for a while, are Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko.
Isak is seen as the ideal profile and they showed interest last summer prior to the PSR theadline of 30 June, which was a problem for Newcastle at the time. This time it is much less of one and places the magpies in a much stronger position while they fight to keep the Sweden internationally.
The problem now – and for every club – are the costs. Newcastle appreciates him much further than £ 100 million and is under no pressure to sell, especially if they end in the Champions League places.
However, Osimhen returns to the market when his loan in Galatasaray comes to an end and he returns to the parent club Napoli – who still wants to sell him. With another year left on his contract, his value becomes more manageable than for many clubs last year, although he is slightly older than Isak at 26.
Sesko is one of the most appreciated young strikers in Europe and was considered heavily assessed by clubs to the January window, including Liverpool and Arsenal, but agreed with RB Leipzig to stay until the summer. He is now ready to move and the Slovenia -International – which will be 22 in May – is expected to do this in the Premier League.
Hugo Ekitike has emerged as a different name to keep an eye on after his strong development at Eintracht Frankfurt this term, which has been on the radar of many top clubs for a few years now. He was impressed when Frankfurt was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Europa League by Tottenham Hotspur.
Wing players
Two Wingers that they have looked at for a while and who show the kind of profile that Liverpool wants to be Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
They are both 25, are the most effective on the right, but also have the versatility to be well -skilled on the left, to cut or play through the middle – and they have been productive scorers in the Premier League.
Manchester United is currently ahead of the Peloton for Semenyo, Sky Sports News reported earlier this month, but Liverpool remains interested and his next destination has yet to be insured.
Another player Liverpool and many clubs are impressed by this season Aston Villas Morgan Rogers, but he would be much harder to get from the Midlands Club, especially if they end in the Champions League places, and probably more than the other two.
Last summer Liverpool showed a strong interest in the Anthony Gordon of Newcastle in the midst of the PSR problems of the Magpies. Potential deals in which Joe Gomez or Jarell Quansah went in the other way were by the hand, but that felt very much as a chance of the time instead of something that Liverpool will resume this summer.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was another player who really liked Liverpool and perhaps acted if a Premier League movement was viable in January. Instead, he joined Paris Saint-Germain.
Backs
Liverpool wants a new left back that can share the workload with Andy Robertson, now 31, in the short term, but eventually goes into his shoes through his custody. There is one name that they really enjoy: Milos Kerkez.
The Hungary International was signed in 2023 by Sporting Director Hughes for Bournemouth, so he knows what he is capable of and this season he has been the striking player in his position in the Premier League. However, Liverpool is now confronted with strong competition from Real Madrid and Manchester City, as reported by Sky Sports News last week.
Fulham's Antonee Robinson and Rayan Ait Nouri from Wolves also belong to the type of attacking left -wing Backs Liverpool is looking and has had strong seasons in the Premier League. There is a feeling at Wolves that Ait Nouri has earned the chance to move to a larger club when a suitable offer arrives.
The other positions
The ideal scenario is that Liverpool is at the point of summer, where they can make a number of smart young additions on top of those more urgent areas, and center-back is one that they think about.
This is partly due to some uncertainty around Gomez and Quansah, who have not played so much, but there are also clearly three right -owned centerbacks in the team, which are more comfortable on the right than left, where Van Dijk is only a natural player.
This has led Liverpool to be one of the clubs in the race for the two foot Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen. But – again – there is competition from a series of teams, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Newcastle, Tottenham and Manchester United.
Right back remains an admirer of his previous Feyenoord player Lutsharel Geertruida, while Liverpool has often been associated with another Dutchman in Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen. However, the club would like to continue with Conor Bradley and one of Quansah or Gomez could cover if they stay.
Central midfield is more ambiguous. Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad was very focused last summer, but he rejected them and now looks destined for Arsenal. Liverpool have recent reports with Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace as a different example.
Expenditure
The expected departure from Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid is well documented and there are also question marks about the future of other players. Liverpool's sharpness to invest in new players means that some outputs will inevitably accelerate when additives arrive.
Although Alisson will not remain 1, Liverpool believes that Mamardashvili has a great potential for the future and that throws the current deputy Cooimhin Kelleher's future in real doubt. Other Premier League clubs have long had him on their lists for when he becomes available, so he will not fail.
With a new top striker a priority, the future of Darwin Nunez will also be interesting. Liverpool is not actively pushing him out, but he has not played much and will attract offers from elsewhere. He is one of the many players related to Saudi Aarabia.
Harvey Elliot is also in a similar position, where the club has so much respect for the player that they will not stand in the way of a good club to offer him more playing time. Sky Sports News exclusively revealed in January that people like Brighton, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig started to try to sign him.
There are other great presence in the Liverpool team that the club can make a real decision about, such as Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota – neither of the players who want to lose the club in particular, but can attract offers from elsewhere and it is still too viewed if they are too good not to listen to.
Quansah retains interest from Newcastle, while Gomez will always have good choices in the Premier League, and left back Kostas Tsimikas is expected to be moved for a newcomer to come in.
