Liverpool ‘reach agreement’ on Darwin Nunez exit after dramatic Isak twist

Liverpool is very happy to continue to add Newcastle Alexander Isak to their beautiful team for the new season and a movement may not be too far away after a breakthrough

Darwin Nunez seems to close a Liverpool output, but their hope to replace him with Alexander Isak have taken a heavy blow. The Reds are entitled to the top of their shortlist and have seen an opening offer of £ 110 million by the side of Eddie Howe.

The magpies are not planning to sell Isak under their appreciation of £ 150 million – and would still do this alone if they had protected a replacement for his exit. Liverpool also knew that they have already splashed the money this summer, they should punish a controversial output to go back to the market.

And according to reports in Italy, Saudi side Al-Hilal is taking a deal for Liverpool's misfiring by Darwin Nunez. It is suggested that they have concluded a verbal agreement with Liverpool during a deal.

The asking price of Liverpool for Nunez was supposed to be in the region of approximately € 70 million (£ 61 million) and if that endured, the crucial funds would free up for the ruling Premier League champions. Nunez – who is also connected to Napoli and AC Milan this summer – is now in conversation with Al -Hilal about his personal conditions.

And although his exit theoretically could free the path for Liverpool to make a movement for Isak, the chances of that deal are now on a wire.

Newcastle had hung their hope in RB Leipzig -striker Benjamin Sesko that replaced Isak if they cash in the Sweden International. The side of Eddie Howe launched two offers for the Slovenian striker – the second of which was accepted by the Bundesliga side.

On Wednesday, however, it turned out that Sesko had chosen Manchester United above their Premier League rivals instead, with the Red Devils now closing a deal. That could leave Newcastle without a suitable replacement and therefore not willing to negotiate their own star striker.

Isak has returned to the northeast in recent days after he has not connected his teammates during their pre-season tour through Asia thanks to a reported 'thigh injury'. And Howe has warned Isak that he will not just be able to walk back.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, he said: “You have to earn the right to train with us. We are Newcastle United. The player here has a responsibility to be part of a team and part of a team – you have to act in the right way. So that also plays here.

“We will ensure that every player does that to earn the right to train with the group. No player can expect to act poorly and train normally with the group.”

“Of course I would like him (there), but I know whether he will do that in time,” added Newcastle's boss. “We have been here with the time difference, preparing for training and games. Other people have had to deal with that situation at home.”

Nunez and Isak come out of the contrasting seasons in the new campaign. Last season, the misfiring Uruguayan only scored five Premier League goals -while Isak 27 yielded in all competitions, including a goal that Newcastle helped to beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
